It's been ten years, roughly since the launch of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt , since Tina Fey signed a series. For her return to the writing room, the former star of "Saturday Night Live", discovered in France with 30 Rock (2006-2013), takes, with tenderness and great caution, a film by Alan Alda released in 1981 to deliver a contemporary adaptation, whose apparent lukewarmness clashes with the biting tone to which it has accustomed us.

Clearly designed for the over-40 crowd, The Four Seasons explores the hackneyed subject of love and marriage over time, through three couples who routinely go on vacation or weekend getaways together once a season—the ritual is illustrated by Vivaldi in both the series and the film, which gives it an extra touch of cheesiness. Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver) and Nick (Steve Carell) have been married for 25 years, much like Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte), who have known each other since college. Danny (Colman Domingo), their gay boyfriend, more recently married Claude (Marco Calvani). Their relationship is open, but that doesn't stop it from swaying.
